Two iron gates
With filigree engravings on
Hidden at the end of the forest
Closed for a time too long
Ivy entangled around them
Almost forgotten
Keeping a story behind
A story filled with darkenss
A story filled with suffering
In the night when fairies
Sparkle through the greens
She sits at the ground in the labyrinth of her mind
Retracing her own steps
Wondering how she got lost
The Moon shines like a spotlight
Forbidding her to hide
Exposing all the scars under the silver glow
Tears soak the soil beneath
Is there a reason to be found?
Is the Moon her friend or foe?
Her enchanting beauty stretches the nights
Keeps her hostage to the dark
A phantom light, a lie in the midst of confusion
Should she move again and follow the path?
To get released, to escape those thoughts
Only doubt and fear in her eyes
Maybe the labyrinth is all that exists
Maybe it's empty beyond it's edges
Owl's hoots bring her hope
At least she's not completely alone
She accepted, this was her fate
No point in standing up no more
"If something was to find these gates to free me
It would've long by now"
As she sways back and forth
Playing in her head like a mute noir film
All the pain, the hurt, the agony
The Moon wails for her
Shakes the leaves to send a message
"There's more to be done, little one
Don't lose hope... stand up, just one more time..."
